In late November 2025, Margaret received the difficult diagnosis of HER2 negative breast cancer. The cancer is present in both her breast and lymph node, and she is also undergoing further biopsies for additional calcifications. Margaret is currently receiving chemotherapy at MSK in New York, with surgery and possibly radiation ahead. While we have some insurance and support from immediate family, the overall medical and home care expenses are far outpacing our ability to provide her the level of financial support she needs to beat this disease.

We have been hit with an enormous amount of medical expenses directly related to her care, including out-of-pocket and over-the-counter costs, transportation to and from treatment, wound and skin care, and essential household expenses like utilities, car maintenance, and groceries. Your financial support would provide us with much-needed assistance in addressing these basic needs and would significantly support Margaret’s treatment experience. Though she remains positive and is taking this journey in stride, we know that stress can directly impact both the length and effectiveness of her recovery. Margaret is only part way through her journey, and we want to give her every opportunity to get well without having to also worry about these concerns.
