Support Margaret’s battle against Ovarian Cancer!
Donation protected
Dear friends and family,
My name is Tapfuma Sibanda,
I invited my mother, Margaret from Zimbabwe to witness the graduation of her two grandchildren in Leicester, UK, July 2023, Unfortunately after a week of being in the UK, she collapsed and had to be taken to the Hospital where she was diagnosed with pulmonary embolism and was admitted for 3 weeks. Unfortunately, she was then diagnosed with stage 4 Ovarian Cancer. She has since been given 5 painful sessions of chemotherapy and had a major life saving surgery to remove the cancerous tumours in April 2024. While the operation gave us hopes, the Medical Team assessed Margaret recently and confirmed that there is still need for more chemotherapy to prevent the cancer from resurfacing and she has a swelling in her abdomen which still needs to be reviewed.
Margaret’s medical bill is nearing to £50 000. The family has raised £5 000 so far leaving a shortfall of around £45 000 to clear the outstanding medical bill. If Margaret is to survive, there is need for additional £20 000 to cover additional treatment and ongoing support.
Sadly, Margaret cannot receive further treatment unless her current bill is partly settled.
Margaret is a pensioner who worked for 39 years as a clerical officer in Zimbabwe and retired in December 2018, however her pension is next to nothing.
Would you be willing to contribute to my fundraiser? A gift of any amount would go a long way in alleviating the pain and suffering that Margaret is going through. There is hope for recovery if funds are available. Margaret is so attached to his grandchildren and if funds are not available, that will mean she will not be allowed to enter the UK or be deported thus reduce her life expectancy.
Thank you all for the support, donations and prayers.
God bless you.
