Hi. My name is Nancy and I’m reaching out for assistance on behalf of my sister-in-law, Margarete.

Three weeks ago, Margaret experienced terrible abdominal pain and was rushed to the hospital. After numerous tests and procedures, it was determined that a blockage in the small intestine had occurred and then the unthinkable happened, her small intestine ruptured. Immediate life-saving surgery was required. The surgery was successful, however, a few days later her intestine started draining inside her body and the fluid that was leaking was life threatening. She had to have 3 more surgeries and numerous drainage procedures.

Margaret has been in ICU at Salem Hospital for the last 3 weeks and the medical bills are piling up. Margarete is an amazing woman who is extremely devoted to her faith in God and her family. She has two boys and two granddaughters who love her so much. She is one of the hardest working people I know. She is self-employed; and has owned and operated a cleaning business on the North Shore for 25 years where she has built strong and long lasting relationships with her customers. She considers her customers to be a part of her extended family.

Her insurance carries a very high deductible and will not cover all of her medical expenses. Due to the timing of this urgent medical situation and a mid-year health insurance policy renewal, she is getting hit twice in the same calendar year with extremely high out-of-pocket expenses.

I am hoping to raise $20,000.00 to cover her insurance deductibles, hospital expenses and lost wages. I would appreciate any help you can offer in reaching this goal.
