My name is Margaret K, and I am working on my Eagle Scout project. I have partnered with Turtle Woods Nature Preserve in Troy, Michigan, to build community bat houses.

The bat houses will provide shelter to bats: it will be a safe place to rest, raise their young, and stay protected from predators and the elements. It will have narrow, dark chambers designed to mimic the spaces that bats naturally prefer.
