My name is Margaret Boyd, and I'm creating this GoFundMe to ask for your support in helping me rebuild my life after the catastrophic Kona Low flood on the North Shore of O'ahu. I live in between where two rivers meet the ocean, so we were in a horrible location for the flood. I woke up at 1 am to my house flooding. In the time it took to get dressed, the flooding rose from my ankles to my knees, and the floors were caving in beneath me. My roommates and I were stranded on top of the outside washer and dryer surrounded by chest high rushing water for 6 hours until we were finally rescued by some local heroes on surfboards. My home, car, and most of my possessions have been lost, and I'm now faced with the daunting task of starting over. I know that with God's grace and the kindness of others, I can rebuild my life.

I'm reaching out to my community, family, friends, and anyone who is able to offer assistance during this incredibly challenging time. Your generous donations will go towards securing temporary housing, meals and potable water, replacing essential belongings, and getting back on my feet.
