Help Me Save Lucy Again: Horse in Need of Rescue

Dear Friends and Animal Lovers,

I hope this message finds you well. Today, I’m reaching out with a heavy heart and a plea for help to rescue a horse who has already been through so much.

In 2019, I rescued Lucy from a killpen truck headed to Mexico. She arrived scared, beat up, and untrained. Over the next year, I poured my time, resources, and love into her rehabilitation. With the help of a local trainer, Lucy transformed into a sweet, laid-back horse who quickly became a favorite at the barn. She was gentle, loved attention, and never caused any trouble with people or other animals.

Once rehabilitated, I gave Lucy to a local operating ranch free of charge, ensuring she would have a job and the attention she needed. Unfortunately, despite my efforts to keep track of her well-being, Lucy was sold down the line. Recently, I discovered she has ended up at a ranch in conditions that do not meet the standards I would like for her. Unfortunately, she is in a space in the desert with no shade, neglected hooves, and her ears in need of medical attention..

Now, I am determined to re-rescue Lucy and provide her with the safe, loving environment she deserves. I need your help to buy her back from the rancher and cover the costs of her transportation. A local rescue has kindly offered to give her a stall until we find her a suitable permanent home.
