I'm writing this on behalf of my mother that is currently suffering from post-lung/now late-ish stage brain cancer. When originally diagnosed with lung cancer, she had an operation and they removed her lung. Post operation, she endured several rounds of chemotherapy and suffered tremendously throughout the process. She then did all the requisite tests and scans and the doctors told her that she was cancer free.
A little over a year after that, she had additional follow-up scans done to make sure everything was good and she was still cancer-free. As it turns out, everything was not good. The doctors found a new nodule in her brain that they feared was her lung cancer spreading to her brain. That is exactly what happened.
Though we are all praying for her to exist in this world pain free, all of these doctor visits and meds and services have been incredibly taxing on our savings. It feels like we're on a sinking ship and we just want what's best for my mother, for however much longer god allows us to be with her.
Any donation--no matter how large nor how small--will be graciously accepted and remembered for eternity. Even the smallest amount will make a huge difference with how we're able to navigate the difficult roads ahead.
