Support Marcy in her Fight Against Breast Cancer
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Shelley, and I am Marcy Jo's cousin.
Today, I am reaching out to share some difficult news about my beautiful cousin Marcy Jo. Recently, she received the challenging diagnoses of breast cancer. As you can imagine, this news has had a profound impact on her and her two daughters, and they now face a journey filled with medical treatments and uncertainties.
To help Marcy and her family navigate through this challenging time, I have taken the initiative to create a GoFundMe page. The purpose of this fundraiser is to alleviate the financial burden that often accompanies a cancer diagnosis, allowing Marcy to focus on her health and her family without the added stress of financial worries.
If you find it in your heart to contribute, your support will mean the world to Marcy and her daughters. The funds raised will be used to cover medical expenses, transportation to and from appointments, and other unforeseen costs that may arise during the next 4 to 6 months of chemo treatment, surgery and post recovery.
I will be regularly updating the GoFundMe page with information about Marcy's journey, including updates on her appointments and progress. Your generosity and kindness will not only provide financial relief but will also serve as a source of strength and encouragement for Marcy as she faces this battle.
Please keep Marcy Jo and their family in your thoughts and prayers. The power of prayer, combined with the support of her family, friends, colleagues will make a significant difference in their lives during this challenging time.
Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for considering a contribution to support Marcy and her daughters. Our goal is $35,000.00 Your kindness will make a lasting impact on their journey toward healing.
With gratitude and love.
Shelley
1st Update - Marcy met with the oncologist today and was given the best possible news - the cancer has NOT spread anywhere else!! She will begin chemo next week - 6 rounds, every 3 weeks. This will hopefully shrink the tumor & then it can be surgically removed. She asked me to thank everyone for their prayers & concern, she's been feeling your love! Now, the hard work begins....... will keep you posted.
2nd Update -Marcy got the port implanted near my collarbone on Tuesday March 5th with no issues. she says : "I’m a little tender and it was good to use today for chemo. The only side effect so far is I’m feeling tired. Thank you for all the love and support. I am feeling very blessed❤️"
3rd update : From Marcy Jo, March 27th
Treatment was quicker today! Got a prime seat in the corner with sunshine coming from all sides! My best friend took me and I also had a special visitor from one of my colleagues daughters who has a therapy dog
I didn’t have any adverse effects and went for a short walk before lying down. I’m upping my fluid game and adding more than just water so I hope this will help for the weekend. I’m childless for a few days so it’s looking like eat, walk, nap repeat.
Here is an update: June 10th
5 rounds of chemotherapy done with 1 round left on June 24! I’m down a little longer with each one then bouncing back for the 2 weeks in between with lots of energy. A mastectomy with lymph node biopsy is scheduled for July 22. Further treatment post surgery will depend on the results of the biopsy. There could be radiation if there is lymph node involvement. Thank you for your love, support and prayers. I feel truly blessed❤️
Update Aug 9th
Good morning family and Friends, Marcy Jo sent me this message:

Good morning. My surgeon called to tell me the cancer had a complete response to the chemo. There is no cancer in my breast or my lymph nodes!!! So now my only focus is healing after surgery.
Our Prayers have been answered! God is great.
I would like to send a heartfelt message of gratitude for all love, support and prayers Marcy has received.
Marcy Jo, you deserve to be celebrated every day! Wishing you years of good health, happiness and a cancer -free future.
We love you!
