Writing this is one of the hardest things I ever had to do. On Sunday night, November 17, 2024, we shared what would be our last meal with my beloved mother-in-law, Marcy Janette Brown (Marcy Leal). That evening, she passed away suddenly due to a heart attack.

Marcy has been part of my life since 2010. She was more than a mother-in-law; she was my second mother. Since 2017, she lived with us and played an irreplaceable role in our lives, especially in the lives of her grandchildren, Ayla and Jesse. Our mom was deeply involved in their everyday joys and milestones, and her love and presence will always be missed.

This loss was so unexpected that we are still struggling to process everything. In the midst of our grief, we are reaching out to our friends, family, and community for support to help cover her funeral expenses.
