Support Marcy and Danny's Healing Journey

Hello music + film + video game communities,

Our dear friends Marcy and Danny need our help turning a challenging moment into an opportunity for renewal.

Who They Are:
If you've worked in film, TV, music, or video games over the past two decades, you've likely been touched by Marcy and Danny's work — even if you don't know them by name yet.

Marcy is a music supervisor and producer who's been a pillar of the trailer music community for over 20 years. She's helped countless musicians and composers find their footing, their voice, and their opportunities. She's a literal shining beacon of light in our industry — the person who shows up, lifts others, and somehow makes magic happen while making it look effortless. She genuinely loves what she does and makes it her mission to keep creatives creating.

Danny is a gifted composer whose work spans film, trailers, and video games. He's creative, intelligent, and quite possibly the most empathetic musician who ever existed. His heart-forward approach to music and collaboration has left an imprint on everyone fortunate enough to work with him.

What They’re Facing:
After evacuating during the Eaton fire in January and navigating Danny's ongoing cancer treatment with such grace and strength, they're facing an unexpected hurdle: their home insurance won't cover the landscaping damage from the fire. While their house didn't burn down, it suffered significant smoke damage and the landscaping was badly impacted. The inside is nearly restored, but the outside tells a different story—one that needs rewriting before they can sell the house and move forward securely into Danny's next phase of care.

Why This Matters Now:
Danny recently underwent brain surgery to remove 3 of 15 tumors. He's currently in radiation treatment for the remaining ones, and they're exploring clinical trials as options open up for the rest of his body. The surgery has left him 75% blind and unable to work. With Danny unable to see the beauty around him the way he once did, Marcy wants to create beauty and comfort he can feel — in the energy of their new space in Northern California, in knowing their Altadena home reflects the love that it once gave to them, and that the love will transition to the next owners.
They're currently juggling a mortgage, rent up north where Danny receives care close to his family, and potential travel for clinical trials. Selling their home quickly isn't just practical — it's essential for their stability during this sacred, uncertain time.

The Vision:
We're raising funds to beautify their Altadena land — cleanup (post-fire debris removal was for the most part handled, but still a ways to go with downed trees and other items), simple landscaping, native plants, and shrubs that will help their home shine again. Their street is an oasis in Altadena, and right now their property is the one tender spot. With Marcy up north caring for Danny, she simply can't do this alone.

We'd love to keep this local, supporting Altadena landscapers and nurseries who are also rebuilding after the fire. If you have plants, shrubs, or landscaping connections to donate, that's beautiful too.
How You Can Help:

So many of you have asked, "What do they need?" This is it. Any amount helps them cross this threshold — from landscaping costs to the everyday weight of living between two homes, managing care, and holding space for healing.

Danny and Marcy are energy-forward, deeply spiritual people who've held so much with such grace. Let's hold them now.

With gratitude and love, Anny + Evelin (on behalf of Marcy, Danny, and their village)
