Hello everyone. My name is Marcus Lemons. I was diagnosed with limb onset ALS last December. In less than a year,I became a total quadriplegic. The hardest thing I've ever had to do is ask for help. I'm 46 years old. I've been in construction my whole life. My wife is the only one who has income in the home now besides my SSDI. Not only did this horrible disease strip me of the ability to provide for my family, it also took away my means of transportation. I've been able to leave my home a total of 5 times, and those were for doctor visits. The cost for wheelchair-accessible rental vehicles is absurd. We were a very active family before I lost my ability to walk. Camping, hiking, and chasing waterfalls were our passions.

I'm here in desperation asking for help in purchasing a wheelchair-accessible vehicle and to feel a little more normalcy in my life. We also could use a little financial support for medical expenses and some day-to-day expenses. I'm also signed up for clinical trials that, if I'm accepted, will need the transportation to get to the clinic. All of my ALS equipment that we've purchased will be donated when my time has come. We thank everyone that helps with making my last few years a little bit better.
