Our dear friend Marcus Smith recently suffered a hemorrhagic stroke in his brain stem—one of the most severe and life-threatening types of strokes. In the beginning, doctors gave him little to no chance of regaining a meaningful quality of life and feared he could be left with locked-in syndrome. But Marcus had other plans. Through faith, prayers, and incredible strength, Marcus is already defying the odds. What once felt impossible is now turning into hope. He is beginning the long and difficult journey toward recovery, and while this progress is a true blessing, the road ahead will not be easy.

Marcus will require extensive rehabilitation, including physical, occupational, and speech therapy. In addition, his home will need modifications to support his recovery and daily living needs. Unfortunately, many of these critical expenses are not fully covered by insurance. We are asking for your support to help ease the financial burden so Marcus can focus on healing.
