Support Marcus and the Outlow Family
Donation protected
Just before Christmas, Serita Outlow's 26-year-old son, Marcus, was supposed to have a straightforward Achilles heel repair. He suffered major complications after the surgery, resulting in a near-fatal pulmonary embolism. After surviving two resuscitations, Marcus suffered a significant seizure that impacted his movement, vision, and speech. He has been in the hospital for several months now, working diligently with his care team to regain his vision as well as re-learning how to walk and feed himself. Now he is focused on regaining his speech, hopefully in time for his wedding in June.
Serita and her family have been by Marcus's side nonstop through his medical emergencies and rehabilitation, traveling hours each day to be with Marcus at his current rehab. Coming home from a recent rehab session, Serita's other three children were also just in a car accident that totaled the car. Thankfully, no one was injured in that accident, but the Outlow family needs our care and support during these very challenging times.
Serita is the organizational backbone of our OCS team and is a shining, caring face for our students. Please help ease this family's burden if you can.
