Support Marcus and Meghan's IVF Journey

Donation protected
Hi! You likely already know us, but in the event that you don't, we are Marcus and Meghan Johnson. We have been married since 2018 and have been praying fervently that we would be blessed enough to become parents.

Our journey began in 2020, right before COVID, when we sought out assistance with our fertility struggles. I (Meghan) have struggled with PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) since the age of 17 which affects ovulation/fertility. We tried achieving pregnancy with just medication and outpatient IUI procedures with our regular OBGYN, but after 7 attempts we had no success. We were then directed to Sanford Reproductive Medicine in Fargo, ND in 2021 where we proceeded with injectable fertility medications (hormones suck!) and additional IUI procedures. We did achieve pregnancy once, only to result in a miscarriage on Mother's Day of 2021.

After a few years off to recover financially, mentally and emotionally, as well as getting serious about our health, we began praying about starting fertility treatments again. When speaking with our local OBGYN at the beginning of this year, she highly suggested that we proceed with IVF treatments due to my age (did you know that any age over 35 is considered a "geriatric" pregnancy!?) and inconsistent ovulation.

This is where our journey becomes financially difficult. Although we are so very lucky to have health insurance coverage which will help with the overall cost of the IVF treatments, we have been told that we will need to travel to Syracuse, New York for the IVF procedures (this is due to my BMI and anesthesia risks, although minimal). We will be able to do bloodwork and ultrasounds locally, but traveling to New York will take place twice--for the egg retrieval as well as the implantation both scheduled for later this summer.

Although out of our comfort zone and very scary, with infertility treatment costs so high (as well as the costs of travel, lodging, and additional medical costs) we are humbly asking for your help to make our parenthood dreams come true. Please don’t feel obliged to donate; times are hard for so many, but even a share would put our story out there and potentially support us.

Thank you for taking the time to read some of our story--we're praying and believing that our miracle baby will join our family soon and that we have great news to share with you all. Thank you for your part in our story!
