Marcelino, or Marc as many know him, is not just my brother—he’s my best friend and a true inspiration. Together, we’ve shared countless memories, from tumbling and music to working on cars. Marc is an American Filipino who stays true to his culture and brings strong family bonds into everything he does, especially as an athletic tricking coach. He’s a founding member of San Diego Trick and Flip, a facility that teaches athletes valuable lessons through tricking, tumbling, and obstacle course training. Marc’s comedic spirit shines in his music, and he’s the best brother, fun uncle, and supportive son anyone could ask for. He truly is one in a billion.
Over the past few months, Marc’s life has changed dramatically. He’s been in constant pain, losing 15 lbs and struggling with even the simplest daily tasks. Doctors are still searching for answers, considering autoimmune disease or cancer, but nothing is certain yet. The severity of his pain has led to disability placards, and his compromised immune system means he must wear a medical mask in public to protect himself. Marc hasn’t been able to enjoy our favorite sport, tricking and tumbling, which has always been a special bond between us. Even sleeping is painful, and restful nights have become rare.
We’re raising funds to help Marc cover unknown medical expenses, daily living costs, healthy foods, medical devices, vitamins, supplements, bills, and the daily needs he can no longer perform himself. Your support will make a real difference in Marc’s life, helping him focus on healing and recovery. When Marc was 13, he landed a standing dub when only two others in the world had done it before. If he can beat those odds, we know he can overcome anything else. We love you, Marc, and thank you to everyone who stands with us on this journey.
