Support Marc's Battle with CRPS

I'm writing on behalf of my husband Marc, whom many of you may already know. I'm usually a very private person and I went back and forth over this. But in the end, every little bit helps. Marc is a wonderful, thoughtful, and genuinely good man, and it breaks my heart that he is suffering a great deal every single day. Marc has been struggling with a plethora of health issues: Crohn's Disease (incurable), GERD, IBS, chronic back/body pain, Type 2 Diabetes, PTSD, anxiety, dysthymia, insomnia, four prior surgeries, and seemingly endless hospitalizations over the past decade+. He is on over 15 Rx medications and has to get infusions of Remicade every 6 weeks for life. Since age 16, he also has had a terrible [incurable] disease known as CRPS (Complex Regional Pain Syndrome) a.k.a. "The Suicide Disease" or RSD for many years. It has gotten significantly worse over the past several years and especially the last few months. Unfortunately, no treatment or medication has helped even close enough to be notable. According to studies, it is the most painful disease known to man. It ranks a 46/50 on the McGill Pain Scale and has enormously affected his quality of life. Watching him suffer so severely (both physically and emotionally) is one of the worst things I've ever experienced. He's been forced to retire from his beloved craft of film (primarily acting, writing, & directing), which has been heartbreaking for him. When he flares (average 40x/day), it punches through even the strongest medications like they're a paper shield. When he's not flaring, his pain is consistent. His pain management doctor wants to give Ketamine infusions (not covered by insurance). There is no guarantee that they will help, but many patients have found great success with it for depression and severe pain. He'd receive ~6 infusions in a 10-14 day period followed by semi-annual maintenance infusions, if necessary. Put bluntly, it is way beyond our budget as he is on Disability and a very fixed income. I do the best I can with 2 jobs but with the rising costs of everything, it is tough, as I'm sure you know. Any little bit would be greatly appreciated. Marc is a selfless person and he has spent a good amount of time in his life doing for others. Even if you're unable to donate, I understand, but perhaps you can find a few seconds to please like and share. I would appreciate it from the bottom of my heart! We are lucky to have wonderful family and friends! In the event of a surplus, a portion of funds will be donated to Marc's favorite charity, the ASPCA. The rest will go to some much-needed and way overdue dental work, eye exams, and overdue medical bills. Thank you for reading this all and God bless. ❤️
