Help Our Friend Marco Ybanez
Dear Friends, Family, and Supporters,
We are reaching out to you with heavy hearts. Our dear friend Marco Ybanez was recently in a life-threatening car accident. While driving home for a weekend with our fellow friend, he struck a guardrail on the side of the road, causing them and his vehicle to go airborne and roll over multiple times into a canyon. The passenger was lucky enough to sustain only minor abrasions and bruises, but Marco was less fortunate.
Marco sustained severe fractures of the cervical spine at C5 and C6 with dislocation and rotation, while also incurring smaller fractures in his mid-back and undetermined injuries to his right knee. Marco was put through intensive emergency surgery to stabilize the bones in his cervical spine and has just gone through a secondary surgery to further stabilize his neck. He will also need a third surgery on his injured knee. He is very lucky to have avoided paralysis and even possible death. By the grace of God, he got the help he needed quickly. He is currently still hospitalized at UMC Lubbock, where he is receiving around-the-clock care after spending 3 days in the Trauma Surgery ICU.
Surgery and recovery are demanding, not only emotionally, but financially. The cost of medical care and recovery will only add to the large impact this will have on Marco and his family's lives. We want to help relieve this burden for Marco and his family through his medical care and recovery process. This is why we are asking our community to come together and help.
Every single donation will significantly impact their lives. Your help will assist Marco and his family with the financial burden of this process in recovery. This will help his family be able to focus more on his health and recovery rather than only the financial aspect.
Please join us and help Marco Ybanez and his family through this difficult process. Share with your friends, family, and your community.
Thank you for your support and generosity.
With gratitude,
Marco's Family and Friends.
