On the evening of September 8th, 2025, our whole lives changed.

My son was involved in an accident while jogging.

On his route, he encountered an overpass/guard rail-protected area. In the darkness, he ran into or somehow ended up and over the guardrail. He fell 30ft and landed on rocks beside some train tracks. He was not found for several hours. He did not have a way to call for help. He bravely crawled back up on his hands and knees and onto the sidewalk beside the road and a police officer found him. He broke both ankles, his left wrist, and broke some thoracic and lumbar vertebrae.

He arrived at CDH with a pulseless left foot. He was then airlifted to Luries. He underwent bilateral ankle surgery. He now has external fixation on his left ankle. On his right, he has screws keeping his ankle together. He had his left wrist casted. He luckily did not have internal injuries. He did not have a head injury. He will use a back brace for several weeks for stability and will be wheelchair dependent for many weeks.

Despite it all, he is in decent spirits.

And I am holding on. Devastated by it all.

He will need a second surgery in 1 week.

Upon discharge from Luries, he will not return home. He will need further outside medical care until surgery and then intensive rehab for his injuries.

Donations will go for medical bills, gas, food, and bills, etc.

I am the sole provider and I will not be working for the foreseeable future. I also have a 16 year old daughter that has been impacted by this horrible ordeal.
