Support Marco Santiago's Battle with Cancer

Hi, everyone. My name is Eddie Marrero, and I’m reaching out to ask for help for my best friend, Marco Santiago. Marco and I have been close since kindergarten – he’s like the brother I never had. If you know him, you know he’s the kind of person who would give you the shirt off his back without a second thought.

In September, Marco was diagnosed with cancer, and he’s now undergoing radiation. This journey has been incredibly tough on him, and he’s not just struggling physically and mentally but financially, too. He can’t work right now, and unfortunately, he isn’t eligible for temporary disability. As much as I wish I could support him financially, I’m currently out of work myself, so this GoFundMe is my way of trying to help.

Marco is facing this without much family support( besides his sisters and son ) and sadly, many friends who promised to be there have been nowhere to be found. Seeing him go through this alone breaks my heart, especially knowing how hard he’s trying to stay strong through everything. He has a son who is in the Army who is trying hard to be there for him but is stationed a few hours away . The picture I posted is him and his son was taken a few weeks ago. As you can see, his son shaved his head as a token of support.
