Marci is the kind of person who shows up for others.
For years, she has poured her heart into her work as a hairstylist, helping people feel confident, beautiful, and cared for. As a small business owner, she has built her career through hard work, long hours, loyal clients, and a deep commitment to every person who sits in her chair.
Recently, Marci was unexpectedly faced with a serious medical emergency that required immediate surgery. While we are incredibly grateful she was able to receive the care she needed, the road ahead will require time, rest, and a full recovery. Her doctors expect her to be unable to work for at least two months.
For most people, taking time off after surgery is already stressful. For Marci, it is especially difficult because her income depends completely on her ability to work. As an independent hairstylist and salon owner, she does not have access to unemployment benefits or paid medical leave. If she cannot stand behind the chair, she cannot earn income.
Even while she is recovering, the bills do not stop.
Marci will still need to cover her home rent, salon studio rent, utilities, insurance, car payment, food, and basic living expenses. On top of that, medical bills from the emergency surgery are still unknown and may create an additional burden once they arrive.
This fundraiser is being created to help Marci get through the next two months without the added stress of wondering how she will keep up with her expenses while she heals. The goal is to give her the ability to rest, recover properly, and avoid complications that could come from rushing back to work too soon.
All funds raised will go directly toward Marci’s essential living expenses and business expenses. Any funds raised beyond those immediate needs will be applied to medical costs connected to her surgery and recovery.
Marci has spent so much of her life taking care of others, listening to them, encouraging them, and helping them feel their best. Now she needs a little help from the people around her.
Any amount helps. Whether you are able to donate, share this fundraiser, or simply send love and encouragement, it will mean more than you know.
Thank you for helping support Marci during this difficult season and giving her the peace of mind to focus on what matters most right now: healing.
