Three weeks ago, Marcio underwent a major visceral transplant in an effort to remove his cancer. The surgery was critical to save his life, but his recovery will be long and difficult. During the procedure, he received five organs from a single donor: his pancreas, stomach, liver, and both intestines.

He remains in the hospital and still has a challenging road ahead. Being unable to work, along with ongoing medical expenses, has placed a significant financial strain on him. Even after he is discharged, Marcio will require continued care and support throughout his recovery.
