Support Marcia Melendrez's Battle with Breast Cancer

Hello everyone!

My name is Jasleen Guevara and my siblings (Jasmine & Joshua) and I are creating this Go Fund Me on behalf of my aunt, Marcia Melendrez.

Marcia is a loving wife, daughter, mother and human being. For those of you that know her personally, she is always willing to go the extra mile for anyone in need, including my siblings and I when we were younger.

My aunt Marcia along with her husband, my uncle Saul, graciously cared for us the majority of our childhood when our mom had to work due to being a single parent of three. They would attend all of our important milestones growing up from sporting events, to birthdays, to every single graduation. They both have had a lasting impact on all of our lives and have supported us every step of the way. Now we would like to support her and her family during this long, tough and uncertain road ahead.

My aunt Marcia, 55, was recently diagnosed with breast cancer last month. Due to the gravity of her case, she had to undergo emergency surgery for a unilateral mastectomy on August 7, 2024. This procedure was done in Tijuana, Mexico due to financial reasons as she does not have health insurance, and as you all know, cancer treatment is EXPENSIVE, especially in the US.

The purpose of this Go Fund Me is to raise money to help cover all her medical expenses for her cancer treatment including chemotherapy, radiation, hospital stays and any additional surgeries/procedures that she may need. Every penny raised will go directly to her and her family to help cover medical costs. We will be posting updates of her process for those that wish to follow along.

Mi nombre es Jasleen Guevara y mis hermanos (Jasmine & Joshua ) estamos creando este Go Fund Me para mi tia Marcia Melendrez.

Marcia es una persona amorosa, hija, esposa y madre. Para aquellos que la conocen personalmente, ella siempre está dispuesta a ir la milla extra por cualquier persona incluyendonos a mis hermanos y yo cuando eramos mas chicos.

Mi tía Marcia y mi tío Saul nos cuidaron desde muy pequeños cuando mi mamá trabajaba por la razón que era madre soltera de tres. Mis tíos siempre iban a todos nuestros eventos escolares, deportes y graduaciones. Ellos dos han tenido un gran impacto en nuestras vidas y nos han apoyado a lo largo de nuestras vidas. Ahora nos gustaría apoyar a mi tía y a su familia en este camino largo, duro e incierto.

Mi tía Marcia, 55 años de edad, recientemente fue diagnosticada con cáncer de mama el mes pasado. Por la gravedad de su caso, la tuvieron que operar removiendo un seno por completo el día Agosto 7, 2024. Este procedimiento fue hecho en Tijuana, México por razones financieras porque ella no tiene aseguranza médica y como todos saben el tratamiento para cáncer es muy costoso especialmente en los Estados Unidos.

El propósito de este Go Fund Me es recaudar fondos para ayudarle a cubrir todos sus gastos médicos incluyendo chemotherapia, radiación, estancias en hospital y cualquier otro procedimiento que se necesite. Cada centavo que se recaude irá directamente a ella y a su familia para poder cubrir todos los costos médicos. Estaremos compartiendo acerca de su estado de salud a lo largo de su tratamiento para aquellos que deseen estar informados.
