We are in need of support for our family back home in Jamaica! I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your help.

Our family and community of Runaway Bay, Saint Ann and Marchtown in Hanover, Jamaica, including my grandmother, brothers, and cousins were devastated by Hurricane Melissa, which tore through the island and destroyed the homes that has sheltered generations of our family. What was once a place filled with love, laughter, and memories is now in ruins. The roofs were torn away, walls collapsed, and most of our belongings were lost to flooding and wind damage.

Most of our community has been left without a roof over their heads or the means to rebuild quickly. They are out of food, gas, and other essentials. Everyone must travel to far locations to even attempt to get these necessities although transportation has been compromised.

We are hoping to raise $10,000 to help us:

• Rebuild and repair the damaged home

• Replace essential items like beds, furniture, and appliances

• Provide basic needs (food, water, and clothing) for our family and neighbors affected by the storm

Every dollar brings us closer to rebuilding stability, hope, and safety for our family and community. Even the smallest contribution will make a difference. If you’re unable to donate, please share this campaign — spreading the word helps more than you know.

Funds donated will be used to purchase the necessary materials and will be shipped in barrels to my community by November 17th, and all other funds will be sent directly to the individuals in dire need of gas and food.
