My heart is breaking for the Arce/Hernandez family. Just a few weeks ago, their lives were turned upside down when 25-year-old Marcelino received a devastating diagnosis: acute leukemia. Irene (my student) and Marcelino are loving parents to three young children and they were building a bright future together.

Marcelino's leukemia is aggressive, and he has begun intensive chemotherapy treatments. Unfortunately, he has already experienced serious complications, adding to the immense stress and hardship this young family is facing.

Since his diagnosis, neither Marcelino nor Irene has been able to work. Their focus is solely on Marcelino's health and caring for their children. The mounting medical bills, combined with everyday living expenses, are quickly becoming overwhelming.
