Let’s Support Marc post Eaton fire loss

Donation protected
I’m reaching out on behalf of Marc Levinthal to ask if you can help make a very difficult transition somewhat easier. Like so many other musicians and families, he has recently experienced an unimaginable loss.

On the morning of Wednesday, January 8, Marc’s home and studio in Altadena were destroyed by the Eaton fire. Tragically, Marc and his son lost everything, as they had only minutes to react when they were evacuated. Luckily, they are all safe, including the cat, but everything they used to own is gone.

Marc would never ask for help himself, but right now, he could use assistance. Any money raised will allow some help with the many aspects of recovering from this crisis as he faces the overwhelming task of getting back on his feet.

Marc has been a tireless champion of the most original and creative music scene in LA and even musicians from around the world. He has helped so many people for decades, and offering a hand when it is so complicated feels like the right answer in a dark time.

Thank you for your generosity if you can donate any amount, large or small! If donating is not in the cards now and you can share this fundraiser, that will also help as well.

GoFundMe wants me to explain my involvement: Marc introduced me to 95% of the musicians that played at Holly Matter in Silverlake in the late 90s and early 2000s, but he was creating a creative and musical community way before that and has done so ever since then.

100% of all funds raised will go to Marc to help start the next chapter.
