Hi, I'm Maple's mom.

Two years ago, we rescued Maple and from that moment, our home was filled with joy, goofiness, and unconditional love. Maple wasn't just a pet; she was family, and she brought a light into our lives that we never imagined could be extinguished so soon.

Tragically, Maple was diagnosed with a devastating auto-immune disease that destroyed her platelets, crucial cells that prevent excessive bleeding. Despite our visits to the vet every two days, her condition only worsened. Her red blood cell count plummeted and her platelets dropped to zero. Desperate and heartbroken, we opted for a blood transfusion, clinging to the hope that it might give us more time with her. Sadly, the transfusion failed. On July 6th, just 3 weeks after her diagnosis, we had to make the heart-wrenching decision to let her go. Maple left this world surrounded by those who loved her most.

We did everything we could to save her and made incredibly tough decisions along the way. Maple was my best friend and constant companion, and I have no regrets about the time and money spent trying to save her. However, this has left me with a significant financial burden that I was not prepared for.
