Support Maple's Recovery of Her Broken Paw

Hi. My name is Justine and that’s my sweet girl Maple.

Update: A second opinion has been given about her broken bones. This doctor believes it best to hold off on surgery and let the splint attempt to correct the situation. The risk of infection or necrosis aren’t lessened by this treatment, but it’s recommended for us to take her to the vet every 3 days for two weeks and then once a week. At these appointments her cast will be removed carefully, her wound will be re-wrapped and inspected and then the cast goes back on. I’ve done the math for all the appointments we need and for this treatment we only need 2000 dollars. For the follow up X-ray and sedation, I’m estimating $300-550 based on the invoice from her appointment on Friday.

The reason I started this donation fund is because she broke multiple bones in her back right foot trying to jump over the fence to come home. My heart is broken for her and I’m grateful for any help you can provide for her surgery! Surgery isn’t usually necessary for dogs’ legs but since she broke multiple bones and there’s an open gash beneath her cast, the odds aren’t looking good for her to keep her paw. Please help me keep my baby’s foot

Edit: To go into more detail, she will wear the cast shown above until I can afford the surgery. The doctors are concerned about the gash being trapped under the cast (infection/sepsis), as well as the muscle and tissue dying. I can’t afford to take her to the vet every 3 days to have them remove the cast and rewrap her wound. So our options are surgery or hope her paw doesn’t get necrosis or sepsis under the cast.
