Support MAPA – Help Us Keep Growing Through Rising Costs
Donation protected
The M.A. Performing Arts has always been a place where young people can thrive — on stage, in the studio, and in themselves.
We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve built over the years: a vibrant, welcoming dance community that gives students the opportunity to grow in confidence, creativity, and passion. And we’re continuing to grow — with demand for private tuition rising, we’ve just taken on a third studio space to better meet the needs of our dancers and families.
But like many small businesses right now, we’re feeling the strain of some unexpected financial pressure.
Here’s what we’re managing:
• A surprise council tax bill of over £5,000, after our studio was revalued
• A £3,186 invoice from Young Performers, the agency we’re working with for our students’ upcoming performance at the O2. Due to a shortfall in ticket sales, they are passing on a share of the remaining venue costs to us.
• Our music licence renewal, due in January — usually around £2,000
• Plus, the upfront costs of opening our new private tuition space, which we know will benefit our students long-term
⸻
We’re not in crisis, but we are asking for a little help.
In total, these expenses come to around £10,000, which is a huge figure for a small, independent studio like ours.
We know £10,000 is a big ask — so instead, we’re aiming to raise £5,000 through this fundraiser. Even reaching that would ease the pressure significantly and help us move forward with stability and confidence.
If MAPA has ever meant something to you or your child, please consider donating or sharing this page. Your support means the world and will help us move forward with strength and stability.
Thank you so much for believing in what we do.
With love,
