Hi everyone,
I'd like to share the story of my brother-in-law, Manuel, a devoted 50-year-old father of three who has quietly battled a congenital kidney disease his entire life. For many years, Manuel managed to live a full and active life despite the challenges of his condition.
Nine years ago, his sister Carla my wife, gave him the incredible gift of life—a kidney transplant that allowed him to continue being the caring dad, brother, and friend we all know. Recently, however, Manuel’s health has taken a turn, and he’s now in urgent need of a second transplant.
Tragically, just a few weeks ago, his brother Jerry lost his life to the same disease while waiting for a donor. It’s a heartbreaking reminder of how crucial—and fragile—this journey can be.
Manuel is currently on the transplant list, hoping for another chance. While his insurance covers his own medical care, it doesn’t extend to the costs a living donor would face. These out-of-pocket expenses—travel, time off work, recovery—can often become the biggest barrier for someone who wants to help.
That’s why we’re reaching out. With your kindness and support, we can help ease this burden for a potential donor and bring Manuel one step closer to the life-saving transplant he urgently needs.
Every donation, no matter the size, brings hope. Thank you for standing with Manuel and his family during this difficult time.
With gratitude and from the bottom of our hearts, thank you!
