Manuel has always been the kind of person who gives his all—at work, at home, and in the lives of everyone he meets. Recently, our world was turned upside down when he was hospitalized for double pneumonia and, during that time, diagnosed with congestive heart failure. After a five-day hospital stay, he was released, but just two days later, he was readmitted. On Easter, while undergoing tests in the hospital, Manuel suffered a stroke. The doctors discovered that only 20% of his heart was pumping, with severe blockages and a slow leak on one side. Now, he faces triple bypass surgery, and because of the severity of his heart condition, the risks are very high.
This has been an incredibly difficult time for our family. The medical bills are overwhelming, and with Manuel unable to work, I am doing my best to support our two small children. The funds raised will help us cover his medical expenses and provide for our family while he focuses on his long recovery.
Anybody who knows Manuel would say he’s a very hard worker—always going above and beyond, selfless, and quick to give. He has a positive impact on everyone he meets and is hard not to love. Right now, I want Manuel to put himself first and focus on healing. I hope to relieve some of his stress and give him comfort, knowing he can rest and not worry about the financial burden of being in the hospital. Any support or kindness you can offer means the world to our family.
