Manolo isn’t just our mule he’s a true community treasure.

On December 23rd, he suffered an unforeseen and uncontrollable accident that left him with a painful and serious leg injury. He has been in the hospital ever since receiving intensive, around-the-clock care. Watching him fight through this has been incredibly difficult, especially knowing how much joy, comfort, and connection he brings to the people around him.

If you’ve ever met Manolo, you know the kind of heart he has. He’s carried kids in parades, served as a therapy partner for kids and adults, walked beside families at community events, and brought smiles to countless faces just by being his gentle, goofy, loving self. He has a special way of making people feel calm and welcomed children run to him, adults linger to pet him, and he always meets them with patience and kindness. He gives so much of himself without ever asking for anything in return.

Even at the hospital, he’s continued to shine. He’s quickly become a staff favorite because of his sweet personality and the way he leans in for comfort, even while he’s hurting.

He has touched so many lives, and now, in his time of need, we’re hoping the community he loves so much can help him heal. His medical care, treatments, and extended stay have created expenses far beyond what we expected, and we’re doing everything we can to give him the best chance at a full recovery. Any support whether it’s a donation, a share, or simply spreading the word will directly help Manolo get the care he deserves and return to the community that means so much to him.
