Dear friends, family, and community,

In March of 2026 , my uncle Juan Manual Ruiz (most call him Manny) was diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer.

This fundraiser is to support Manny as he undergoes treatment and focuses on what matters most: healing, hope, and time. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps ease the burden of medical expenses and daily costs, and most importantly, reminds Manny that he is not facing this alone.

Manny has spent his life caring for others. Now it’s our turn to show our support for him.

Like many of us, he worked hard to be able to retire and enjoy himself. He officially retired from corporate America in 2023, with over 30 yrs in the insurance industry.

Instead of fully retiring he opened his own small business (most call it, workaholic), but for My uncle it’s his opportunity to serve his community, while also doing what he loves, Insurance. Anyone that knows my uncle Manny knows his heart is huge and generosity, is endless.

As my uncle Manny focuses on rest and healing; the reality is that cancer care is incredibly expensive. Your support will help cover medical bills and provide stability for Manny during this incredibly difficult time.

This fundraiser is organized by Naomi Arocha (niece) and my uncle Joe Ruiz (Manny’s brother). We wanted to create a way for friends, family, former colleges, and the community to support him during this difficult time.
