My name is Linda Burleson.

My friend John Smith and his son Emmanuel, affectionately known as “Manny,” are facing a medical crisis.

Manny is 5 years old and attends Flowood Elementary.

Little Manny became sick in May and has been diagnosed with Stage 4 Neuroblastoma.

On May 16th, Manny had surgery to remove a kidney, his spleen, and part of his diaphragm.

John is a salesman at Ross Furniture in Flowood.

Manny is expected to be at St. Jude for treatments for 1 to 2 years. During this time, John’s job is all Dad.

I know many friends that would find pleasure in sharing the financial burden placed on this family. No one can ever be prepared for this level of “unknown.”

Please, give what you feel led to. Manny is a superhero — being brave and courageous.
