Together for Manikandan s Family in Their Darkest Hour

On August 16, Mani— a 37 year old, devoted husband, loving father, and cherished son—passed away suddenly from a severe heart attack. Mani was the heart of his family, known for his kindness, humility, and the warmth he brought to everyone he met. He was an avid traveler and hiker, always eager to explore new places and share those adventures with his loved ones. His loss has left a deep void in the lives of his wife Mahitha, their bright 9-year-old son Vedanth, and Mani’s elderly parents, all of whom depended on his strength and support. What is so depressing - is that this sorrow happened when Mani s parents are here in the US after a 7 long year of separation.

Now, Mahitha faces the overwhelming challenge of managing the family’s immediate needs while caring for Vedanth and Mani’s parents. Vedanth is an exceptional student with a bright future ahead, and Mahitha is determined to provide him with every opportunity, even as she balances the medical needs of Mani’s parents and the emotional weight of their loss. The family is now confronted with urgent expenses, including outstanding medical bills, funeral and cremation costs, and the possibility of relocating to India to be closer to extended family and support systems.
