Hello Friends in Conservation,
About five years ago, our son, Jonah, started a small community service project called MangroLife here in South Florida. What began as a simple effort to clean trash and debris from local canals on paddleboards quickly grew into a movement powered by friends, volunteers, and neighbors who care deeply about our waterways and imperlied, unique ecosystems.
Over the years, many people have seen the impact of this work in our South Florida canals and rivers, and have asked how they can donate to support the mission. After navigating some clerical challenges, we are proud to share that we have now officially reorganized as a registered community nonprofit under a new name: Mangrove Keeper.
The Mangrove Keeper team works tirelessly to clean up trash while also collecting floating mangrove propagules and replanting them to protect and restore vital mangrove ecosystems, which play a critical role in coastal protection, water quality, wildlife habitat, and climate resilience. Mangroves are truly one of nature’s most powerful tools for protecting our planet — and they need our help.
How Your Donation Helps
Your support will go directly toward:
Maintaining and purchasing needed equipment such as paddleboards, nets, tanks for growing mangroves, boating equipment and repairs among other things.
Removing trash and debris from canals and shorelines, keeping our local waters healthier and safer for wildlife.
Planting and nurturing new mangrove trees to combat climate change and protect our coastal communities.
Educating local residents and students about the importance of mangroves, clean waterways, and sustainable environmental practices.
Every dollar helps us buy equipment, grow and transport mangrove propagules, and expand our restoration and education efforts throughout our community.
Join Us in Making a Difference
We invite you to join us in supporting Mangrove Keeper’s mission to protect our waterways and preserve our natural environment for future generations. Together, we can create lasting change — one shoreline, one mangrove, and one cleanup at a time.
Every contribution, no matter the size, truly makes a difference, and we are deeply grateful for your generosity and belief in this cause. Thank you for helping us protect what matters most.
