Hi GoFundMe,
My name is Dylan, and this fundraiser is our precious Corgi baby, Mango. We brought Mango home as a young pup years ago, and he has brought so much light and happiness to our lives, and the lives around us.
On October 18th, 2025, we discovered a firm mass on Mango's left shoulder. He had previously been limping, and this was a drastic change in his physical state. We took him to our amazing veterinarians at Family VetCare of Chandler on October 20th, and we had scans and blood work done.
On October 24th, our world shattered when we were informed that Mango has cancer. We scheduled an immediate surgical followup to remove what we could, so that we could biopsy the mass and develop a plan for further treatment.
On Friday, October 31st, Mango went in for surgery. The amazing team at Family VetCare were able to remove a sizeable portion of the mass, and we brought Mango home to recover while we awaited the results of the histopath.
I've always called Mango a "little nuclear reactor" because of how energetic, friendly, and playful he is all the time. The vets told us that after such an intensive surgery, he may need help getting around the house, getting outside, etc. But by Sunday night, just two days after surgery, he had just about all of his spirit back and he was eager to start being independent again. We had to (and continue to) reel him in for his own good!
On Friday, November 7th, we received the results of the histopath (the biopsy of the mass).
Mango's cancer has been diagnosed as hemangiosarcoma, which is an aggressive cancer that lives in the blood vessels. With this diagnosis, we now have additional appointments for an EKG and an ultrasound to check the remainder of his body, and likely chemotherapy treatments to fight the cancer.
Within one month, we have spent over $4000 to diagnose and treat our baby's condition, and ongoing treatment will continue to add to that number.
If you would like to help us with Mango's fight and recovery, please consider a donation. Thank you so much for your time.
