I'm Kasey Logan. My Aunt, Mandy Smith Hartel, suffered a severe stroke on Friday, May 1st,2026. Her daughter took her immediately to the ER in Macon where they recognized the stroke and transferred her straight to UMMC. She has been in the step down critical care unit since then and is now going to Methodist rehab for up to a month to hopefully regain the ability to use the left side of her body. As most of you know, she is an extremely hardworking, independent woman but she does live paycheck to paycheck each month. Her daughters, Melynn, Macy and Marianna are traveling back and forth to Jackson right now to be with her and take care of her. Over the next several months the bills and expenses are certainly going to add up for all of them and they are going to be covering all of her bills and expenses while she is trying to rehabilitate. I just want to try to help them out as much as possible! I know there are so many people who love and care about my Aunt Mandy and her daughters, so I just thought I would make this to try to reach out and help them. Let's get her better and back to loving on her family and grandkids.
