Update from Mandy 5/15/25

I have Non-small-cell adenocarcinoma. It is not an aggressive cancer. They feel it is treatable. I will not know my course of treatment until I have the pet scan done.

This is for my dear sister Mandy Hermey. The doctors just recently found her to have a large mass growing behind her lung, and it's suspected to be cancer. Mandy has always been a hard worker and has always helped when she could and has never asked for anything in return. But she is the one in need of help now. The copays alone to continue for biopsy, treatment, and most likely surgery are costing over $300 per visit. She is also not advised to go back to work, so she is losing her sole income. She lost her husband a few years ago to a heart attack and has been dealing with everything pretty much on her own apart from the help of family members. Our mother is with her now, missing work to support and drive her to the appointments.

My sister has so much to live for! She's been taking care of patients in the dental office for 20+ years and would love to continue her job. She's a loving mother to her only child, Avery, who just graduated last year, and I know he's not ready to say goodbye to her either! She has always been the pillar that has held our family together through the years, including taking my brother and me in and raising us as her own when we had nowhere else to go! I know money is tight everywhere these days, and I understand if you're unable to help; even every dollar helps! But if not, if you could just say a prayer for her, it would be greatly appreciated!
