Mama Saray, known as the "Food Queen of Baltimore," has spent decades feeding the hungry, homebound, and anyone in need through her nonprofit, Prime Time for Unity. Her kitchen has always been open to the community, and her heart even more so. Now, she and her husband Ical are facing a crisis far from home, and they need the support of the community she has served so faithfully.
While in Jamaica to care for her husband, a dedicated farmer struggling with serious medical issues, Hurricane Melissa struck. The storm left their home and land devastated—uprooting trees, damaging their house, and cutting off access to essential areas. With no local aid or government support, they are relying entirely on the kindness of friends, family, and supporters from Baltimore and beyond.
Funds raised will go directly toward food, water, and emergency supplies, urgent medical bills, repairs to their home, and the costs of securing an emergency medical visa so Ical can receive the treatment he needs. Mama Saray is deeply grateful for every prayer and donation. Her greatest hope is to restore her husband’s health, rebuild their home, and return to Baltimore to continue her life’s work of serving others. Your support will help them through this critical time and ensure that Mama Saray can keep giving back to the community she loves.
