Recently, Mama Dani experienced a very challenging situation when her back tire got caught in a loose part off a backroad in Northern New Mexico. Her car slowly slid and rolled deep into an arroyo and although she escaped major injuries, her car was totaled. Weeks later, she discovered a small fracture in her foot that led to a life threatening infection. Dani spent the next 37 days in intensive hospital care enduring 13 surgeries to make sure she survived. This incident has made it ever more difficult for her to cope with the challenges of life.
