My best friend, Malorie, lost her son to suicide while in another state 3 weeks ago. His name was Kael, and he was her only child. He was 18 years old. With all the expenses associated with this tragedy, such as plane tickets, hotel stays, and the mundane daily costs of living, like food and doing laundry, plus gasoline and basic hygiene items on her own, she is struggling to get by. This loss has affected her in ways most of us can never imagine. Currently, the grief from this loss has debilitated her mental health so much so that she hasn't been able to work. And, she may be a ways from that just yet. As she struggles to deal with this loss and process this tragedy, she still needs a place to stay and her everyday needs satisfied to survive. She has the biggest heart and the sweetest soul and would give the shirt from her back to keep someone warm. This tragedy came less than 3 years after losing her husband to a tragic accident; she had finally begun to move again after that, which had paralyzed her. This woman has lost her entire immediate family within the past three years. Please help me keep her safe while she finds a way through all this and finds her footing in the weeks and months ahead.
