Help Malki Rebuild After Medical Trauma and Hardship

We are asking for support for our dear friend Malki, who is facing an incredibly difficult time after a series of crises beyond her control.

Malki is currently hospitalized, receiving the mental health care she needs. She is doing the brave work of healing. After discharge, she will require continued treatment and a stable place to live in order to rebuild safely.

Over the past year, Malki underwent surgery that left her physically immobile for a period of time. During that time, she was unable to work and gradually lost her financial stability and housing.

While in a vulnerable position, she trusted someone who took advantage of her situation, resulting in significant financial loss. What little security she had left disappeared.

The combination of medical trauma, housing instability, and financial stress became overwhelming.

Why We Are Raising $10,000

We want to give Malki breathing room and stability so she can focus fully on recovery instead of survival.

The funds will go toward:

• $3,000 for rent (approximately $1,000 per month for the next three months)

• $2,000–$3,000 for medical bills and residential treatment expenses

• Utilities, food, and basic living costs

• Transportation to treatment and follow-up care

This support will allow her to transition safely from the hospital into continued care without the immediate fear of homelessness or unpaid bills.

Malki has always been someone who shows up quietly for others. Right now, she needs others to show up for her.
