Hello friends, family, and kind-hearted supporters,
My name is Tracie Meadows, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my beloved mother, Malkia Newman, who is currently in the Intensive Care Unit following her second cancer surgery in just two months.
Malkia is the embodiment of love, faith, and service. At 72 years young, she has spent her life pouring into others — as a devoted Christian, a community advocate in Pontiac, Michigan, and a passionate mental health educator. She leads the Anti-Stigma Team at CNS Healthcare, traveling across Michigan and the country to educate and uplift those impacted by mental illness. Her work has touched thousands, and her heart has never wavered in its commitment to helping others.
She is also a proud member of New Birth International Church, where she serves on the ministry board under Bishop Theresa Lee. Her faith is her foundation, and her love for her community is unwavering.
Recently, our family was devastated to learn that her initial cancer surgery — which we were told had removed everything — missed two large tumors in her intestines. The delay in diagnosis led to a rapid decline in her physical and mental health, and now chemotherapy is no longer optional.
As she begins this difficult road to recovery, we are asking for your support to help cover six months of living expenses while she heals. Our goal is to raise $20,000, which will allow her to focus fully on her health without the added stress of financial strain.
Every donation, share, and prayer means the world to us. Malkia has given so much to others — now it’s our turn to lift her up.
Thank you for standing with us in love, faith, and hope.
With gratitude,
Tracie Meadows
