Support Malik's Journey of Resilience

The first GoFundMe created for Malik was while he was in a coma. Unfortunately, the funds were taken from Malik by his own family members and spent on things other than his needs.
Malik was hit by a truck just a few months after graduating college in 2021. His family raised money to help cover his medical bills, as seen in his news report. During his recovery, Malik had to relearn how to walk, talk, and even chew—all while living in unstable conditions, moving from home to home with little support.
Amid this challenging time, Malik also endured heartbreaking personal losses. He lost two of his sisters and his best friend. Two of his brothers were murdered as well. He also lost someone he was very close to him from college—a person he shared many memories and photos with, and whose family he knew well.
Despite these overwhelming hardships, Malik remained persistent. Even when it meant taking the bus with a walker, he pushed forward. He found jobs that accommodated his physical limitations and worked tirelessly to support himself. Malik continued to embody strength and perseverance in the face of incredible adversity.
In 2024, tragedy struck again when his first cousin, who lived in Georgia, was found dead in Mississippi. Malik’s father had been sentenced to 39 years to life when Malik was just three years old. But on Malik’s birthday in 2024, his father was granted early release—something they had both longed for and looked forward to.
Sadly, that long-awaited reunion never happened. Malik’s father was set to complete his halfway house program on April 7, 2025, but on January 19, 2025, he passed away from a heart attack.
Through all of this, Malik has remained resilient. He recently received an answered prayer—landing a job in Valle, Arizona. Now, he’s determined to use his story to inspire others to push through life’s toughest moments.
This GoFundMe is being created to support Malik on his journey forward. Your generosity can help provide him with the stability and resources he needs to continue rising above life’s challenges and sharing his powerful message of hope and perseverance.
Please consider donating today and being part of Malik’s incredible comeback story. Together, we can help him turn his pain into purpose and his struggle into success. Every contribution makes a difference.
