Support Malia's Recovery After Accident
Donation protected
My sister Malia was involved in a car accident off of Central Valley road in Tracyton in the early hours of December 20th. An animal ran out in front of her car and she swerved and the car flipped and she ended up hitting a telephone pole and upside down in her car. My mother and I were driving around aimlessly with a family friend for almost 2 hours trying to find her not knowing that she was somewhere in a ditch on the side of the road. We went to check the hospital to see if she was there and she was. We were finally able to hear what happened when we got into the room with her. We found out that after the car accident she was walking back to the scene of the accident and got mugged and was left unconscious on the side of the road. When she woke up she didn’t have any shoes on, her purse with her cards, air pods, phone and over $1000 cash that she made at work was stolen from her. We are asking for any donations to help with the loss of these items and road to recovery. It’s just days before Christmas, and even though we are so thankful she is alive and well and back home it’s gonna be a long road of mental recovery. Like a lot of individuals, she falls in a margin of not being able to afford her own medical insurance but makes too much to qualify for state insurance. We are hoping we can get financial assistance through the hospital for her medical expenses but we are seeking other options for mental health care after these incidents, and these funds could really help her considering the traumatic events she faced. Everything was stolen from her and she has no car. Even though she has great coverage with her car insurance, she will most likely not have any money for a new car after the total loss because she was still leasing the car. Any and all help right now would be amazing as Malia makes her road to recovery. This has been a very traumatic year with countless hardships and this was another unexpected tragedy. We are all just so thankful that she is alive and well.
