Hi, my name is Victor, and I want to share the story of the most courageous woman I know — my wife, Malena.

Since the day we immigrated to this country, Malena has had one dream: to become a dentist here in the United States. For over 10 years, she worked tirelessly toward that goal. Every single day was filled with effort, sacrifice, and discipline. While she studied, I worked and cared for our 8-year-old son. As a family, we supported her with everything we had.

Her routine was intense — working, caring for our child, and studying over 8 hours a day. The days were long and exhausting, but we felt the dream was within reach. After three attempts, Malena finally passed the National Board Dental Examination — one of the hardest two-day exams, with more than 400 questions. That moment felt like the beginning of her dream becoming reality.

But sometimes life has other plans.

In December 2024, after experiencing ongoing pain, Malena was diagnosed with stomach cancer. In an instant, our world was turned upside down — filled with fear, uncertainty, and heartache. Since then, every day has been a battle for her health and emotional strength.

After six months of chemotherapy, we were given a new glimmer of hope. The doctors recommended an advanced treatment at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. But this treatment is incredibly expensive — and beyond what we can afford as a family.

That’s why I’m here, humbly asking for your help.

Desde el día en que emigramos a este país, Malena ha tenido un solo sueño: convertirse en dentista aquí en los Estados Unidos. Durante más de 10 años, trabajó incansablemente para lograrlo. Pero a veces, la vida tiene otros planes.

En diciembre de 2024, después de varios dolores persistentes, Malena fue diagnosticada con cáncer gástrico. En un instante, nuestro mundo se llenó de miedo, incertidumbre y dolor. Desde entonces, cada día ha sido una batalla por su salud y por su fortaleza emocional.

Después de seis meses de quimioterapia, los médicos nos dieron una nueva esperanza. Le han recomendado un tratamiento más avanzado en el MD Anderson Cancer Center, en Houston, Texas. Sin embargo, este tratamiento es extremadamente costoso y está fuera de nuestras posibilidades económicas como familia.

Por eso, hoy estoy aquí, humildemente pidiendo tu ayuda.
