Hi my name is Maleah and I am the daughter of Cynthia Dorton. On Monday June 10th 2024 I went to wake my mom up for dialysis as usual. I walked into her room and immediately noticed something was wrong. I found her in her bed unresponsive and cold. My mom had struggled with kidney failure and received dialysis treatment for 6 years. My mom also had congestive heart failure stage 4 for a couple of years. She woke up in pain and went to sleep in pain every single day. She is now pain free and with her husband Michael and her son Jaden in heaven.

The number one thing I hate doing is asking for help this is so hard for me to do but I have children to think about now and I understand there’s no way I can do this on my own. Most people know I was my mother’s caregiver and sole provider. It was just her and I. Taking care of her was my job, now that she’s gone I no longer have income coming in. As a single mom of 2 this is going to be the hardest thing in my life to overcome and get through as I have to lay my mother to rest, children to take care of and bills to pay because life still goes on. Please know that your kindness is much appreciated as I navigate this heartbreaking time in my life. All funds raised will help cover celebration of life expenses, laying her to rest and day to day expenses. Any contribution will be deeply appreciated even just sharing this.
