Support Malcolm’s Road to Recovery
Donation protected
Hi! My name is Emily and nothing else in this world matters more to me than advocating for and helping animals. I work at a non-profit animal shelter and have recently started fostering animals because of it. I also have two cats of my own and a dog, all of them being the center of my universe.
Yesterday, my cat Malcolm started showing signs of being very ill, so I rushed him to the vet in hopes that they could treat him quickly. Unfortunately, after labs and X-rays, they couldn’t determine what was causing him to become ill so suddenly, so they labeled him a mystery. I was advised to take him to the emergency vet to see if they could provide us with some answers, but unfortunately, they were just as stumped by his symptoms.
Malcolm is currently being hospitalized for the next 24-48 hours because his fever is dangerously high, enough to start shutting down his organs. If he makes it through these next few days, he will need a long list of diagnostics done to pinpoint what in his body is causing this fever and his other symptoms.
I’ve recently fallen on hard times and don’t have the funds available to me to cover all of his veterinary bills. I owe it to him to ask for help in any way that I can to make sure he can receive the care he desperately needs. I appreciate anyone who has taken the time to read about Malcolm, and if donating isn’t an option, then I would be just as grateful if his story could be shared to reach more people! Thank you!
