Support Malcolm's Journey to Safety through Top Surgery

Hello. My name is Malcolm. I’m an FTM trans man looking to get top surgery. This is something I have considered for a very long time. Due to the nature and state of our world right now, I’ve decided that not only is this something I want, this surgery is something that will keep me safer in the long run. I am close to passing if not for the lack of top surgery. This is something that will help both my mental health and physical safety when in public.

I know many people don’t have much right now, but I’m hopeful that those who do will at least consider donating. All the money raised will go directly to medical bills. Although I could use extra for the costs that will come from taking leave and such to recover, I am not seeking that at this time. Purely the money required to get the surgery and cover the couple follow-up care appointments. Unfortunately, insurance doesn’t cover even a little of this surgery, and it will be 100% out of pocket, hence the amount.

I’ve not been “out” for very long, only a few years. Despite things only having gotten worse in this country for trans people, I am still here and have always been this way. This is something I’ve always wanted, but never felt able to pursue until the right people came into my life and made me feel safe enough to be my full authentic self. I couldn’t have done this without an incredible support system, and I hope I am able to meet even more people through this experience.
