Hi everyone, I’m Malakai!!
In September 2025, I underwent the first stage of my gender-affirming surgery in San Diego — a major step in my journey toward in living most authentically . Recovery has been emotional and physically demanding, but also deeply affirming. I’m beyond grateful for the community that helped me get this far. I’m now preparing for stage two of my surgery, scheduled for March 2026.
As someone who uses a wheelchair, recovery and travel come with unique logistical challenges. I’ll need to stay in an accessible Airbnb or hotel at least the day before and planning to come home after the outpatient procedure and travel back for post op later in March.
Your generosity made the first stage possible, and I’m reaching out again for support. I’m raising funds to help cover travel costs, accessible lodging, meals, post-op appointments, and essential recovery needs as I navigate this next stage.
